Dr John is a highly experienced and dedicated general practitioner with over 30 years of service in the NHS. He trained at University College London (UCL) and has been practicing medicine since 1995.
Dr John is passionate about family medicine and prides himself on providing personalised, compassionate care to all his patients. He is currently the senior partner at Abbey Medical Practice, where he has been serving for 23 years. At Abbey Practice, he is actively involved in supervising a wide range of clinicians, including GP registrars, paramedics, and nurse practitioners. He was also heavily involved in establishing the GP out-of-hours service at Warwick Hospital when it was devolved from the GP contract, playing an active role in managing and running the service. In addition, Dr John has worked as a GP for a pharmaceutical company in Manchester, contributing to drug development.
Throughout his career, Dr John has cared for a wide range of patients, including children, elderly patients, and those with chronic health conditions, reflecting the broad scope of general practice. Early in his career, he gained unique experience as a physician on travel expeditions in Asia, Africa, and South America, combining his medical expertise with a spirit of adventure.
Outside of medicine, Dr John enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys and is an enthusiastic sportsman, with a particular love for tennis, pickleball, and padel.
