Biography
Dr Tait has worked as an NHS GP for 25 years, as a doctor or 30 years and is a founding member of the Warwickshire private GP service. We are the oldest private GP service in Warwickshire having been established in 2013 with Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital.
Dr Tait has worked with companies providing occupational health care for both Warwickshire Police as FMO and Phillips 66 as an occupational health clinician.
He worked with England under16 Schools rugby Union for 4 years providing medical care in training, matches and on tour.
He then went on to work with Worcester Warriors rugby club in the premiership for 18 seasons being lead team doctor for 5 years, managing acute and chronic care for a squad of 30 players and attached academy.
His current sporting role is as lead first team doctor with West Bromwich Albion football club, providing medical advice and supervision for the first team, academy and women’s team. This work has led to a proficiency in joint injections in the treatment of musculoskeletal injury.
He held an honorary senior lecturer post with Warwick University researching subjects in diabetic care and ran the surgery Diabetes clinic for some years.
He has ongoing interest in complex and chronic general practice problems, Diabetes care including injectable therapies, Musculoskeletal and sports medicine.
Problem solving is at the heart of good quality medical care.
